Caylee Anthony update

Let’s not forget who this is really all about.  Caylee is still missing and awaiting justice.  Her mother Casey Anthony was taken into custody last night on new charges not related to Caylee’s probable homicide.  The charge this time is bad checks and theft….crimes of dishonesty.  Casey’s attorney was quick to point out that it was homicide detectives that took Casey into custody which he said was orchestrated to make his client “look bad”.  I believe that Casey is doing a great job of that all by herself.  Other developments in this case involve matching hair from the trunk of Casey’s car to Caylee and a positive test for human decomposition in the trunk.  This news only seems to be a surprise to her family and the guy that bailed her out.  The bail bondsman had planned to return her to jail but was beaten to the punch by the police department.

This case has caught the interest of the nation and there is some concern about vigilante justice.  Far too many children disappear and are murdered every year and they receive little to no attention.   Their murderers (too often parents or family members) often receive too little punishment.  Life is cheap and children’s lives are cheaper.  I hope that the interest that this case has generated carries over to all crimes against children.  I hope those that care so much for Caylee (a child most have never met) become strong advocates for children.  I know that this case has a sideshow, freakish quality about it and that is part of the draw.  The Anthony family is also white and not poor….qualities that often draw press attention when someone is missing.

Please, please, please…get involved, make a difference, know your laws and your legislatures.  You have the power to make a difference in the life of a child.  You may prevent the next Caylee Anthony.

  1. Child molestors and child killers are especially welcome here in Vermont. We love them, we welcome them and their slight pecadilloes with open arms. We think, you see, that we can cure them with lots of therapy. So what if eighty percent reoffend? It is that twenty percent we care about. In fact, they are the true victims, not the children. The child activists in Vermont are against Jessica’s Law. Isn’t that a scream? Wanna know why? Because they think it hurts children due to the fact that they won’t get as many confessions. Chew on that one.

Vermont gives child killers and abusers sentences so light that pedophiles all around the country come to Vermont. Vermont loves to talk about George Bush–when it snows, it’s George’s fault, you see—but they don’t like to talk very much about Brooke Bennett. It’s so much easier to blame George, who probably would have been blamed for Brooke’s murder had he not had a good alibi that day.

  2. I have prayed several times for Caylee’s safe return. My heart was broken when the news was released saying that the smell in the trunk of Casey’s car was human decomposion. And it made it some much worse to find out that there were scratches on the inside of the trunk.

Like many people out there, I have a small child. She just turned 5. I have lost my temper with her on several occasions but I WOULD NEVER HURT her. She depends me and trust me to take care of her. When she looks at me with those blue eyes, my heart melts and I fall in love with her all over again.

I know how strongly I feel about my child and I take it granted that everyone feels the same about their children. I can not understand how someone especially a mother could kill her own child. The evidence is suggesting that Casey killed Caylee. My theory is that the ex-fiance did not want children so Casey decided to get rid of Caylee to get her fiance back.

  3. If Casey’s car was found near a dumpster, then has anyone thought about searching and bringing the dogs out to the local dump or landfill???????? Spread the word… everyone needs to search there!!!

  5. I have two grandchildren that are three and as much as I love my children if there was this much evidence and lies I would never bury my head in the sand as Cindy Anthony has done. There is no evidence of an accident and all of that talk will lead Casey into saying that next to get herself out of capital murder charges nothing that girl says can be believed or for that matter Cindy Anthony. My granddaughter lived with me and my daughter also said I was controlling but I would never accept all of the lies that Cindy Anthony has I would never be in that kind of denial, she knows WAY more than she is letting on and should also be charged for obstructing

  6. The odor was coming from the backyard of her grandparents, they already knew that their daughter had murder the grandchild. Thats why the dogs keep heading in that directions. Because Caylee was buried in the backyard, the grandparents figure this was a bad ideal. Dug her body up and placed her far away. That is the reason the grandmother is pretending to be so distraught. The daughter and the mother have the same personality. They both are crazy.

  7. Hi! This is such a heart breaking situation. I’m glad you are spotlighting the important one here. Not the one who brought the injustice. I pray for Caylee’s justice too.
    Regards,
    Sharon
