Caylee Anthony Update

- Caylee
Caylee Anthony’s remains were identified this week. I am glad that Caylee was found, her bones recovered and she can be laid to rest. I hope that the evidence found with her will tell her story and bring her justice. http://abcnews.go.com/TheLaw/Story?id=6448060&page=1
Caylee Anthony update
Let’s not forget who this is really all about. Caylee is still missing and awaiting justice. Her mother Casey Anthony was taken into custody last night on new charges not related to Caylee’s probable homicide. The charge this time is bad checks and theft….crimes of dishonesty. Casey’s attorney was quick to point out that it was homicide detectives that took Casey into custody which he said was orchestrated to make his client “look bad”. I believe that Casey is doing a great job of that all by herself. Other developments in this case involve matching hair from the trunk of Casey’s car to Caylee and a positive test for human decomposition in the trunk. This news only seems to be a surprise to her family and the guy that bailed her out. The bail bondsman had planned to return her to jail but was beaten to the punch by the police department.

This case has caught the interest of the nation and there is some concern about vigilante justice. Far too many children disappear and are murdered every year and they receive little to no attention. Their murderers (too often parents or family members) often receive too little punishment. Life is cheap and children’s lives are cheaper. I hope that the interest that this case has generated carries over to all crimes against children. I hope those that care so much for Caylee (a child most have never met) become strong advocates for children. I know that this case has a sideshow, freakish quality about it and that is part of the draw. The Anthony family is also white and not poor….qualities that often draw press attention when someone is missing.
Please, please, please…get involved, make a difference, know your laws and your legislatures. You have the power to make a difference in the life of a child. You may prevent the next Caylee Anthony.
Caylee Anthony Update – Casey out on bond
Casey Anthony is home with her parents after a California bail bondsman posted bail for her. She is being electronically monitored. The bail bondsman says that he is hopeful that now that she is released she will tell him what happened. I guess it just goes to show you that there are a lot of ego-centric people in the world. I’m not sure why he thinks that Casey will tell him anything but more more lies but I guess it makes for good tv. So Casey is free and Caylee is still missing.

Caylee Anthony turned 3 years old today….
if she’s still alive.
That seems to be the biggest if right now. I was away on vacation and didn’t pay attention to the news and took a total break from crime and it’s victims. I enjoyed the beach with my family and toddler and I couldn’t imagine any mother behaving the way that Casey is unless she was involved in the disappearance.
Here are some of the newest stories and theories regarding Caylee and her disappearance as well as some of the relevant court documents/search warrants:

There was a comment left under one of my posts about the fact that there was a guest card signed with the name of the babysitter that Casey gave the police (Zenaida Fernandez Gonzalez). The last article above mentions that the police are investigating whether Casey herself went there and filled out the card to help with her “story”.
Today should be about Caylee – about turning 3…learning new words, new skills, new songs. Happy birthday Caylee wherever you are.
Caylee Anthony missing toddler – does this look like the mother of a missing toddler??
This tragedy gets more and more disgusting by the day and I hope that officers work hard for justice for Caylee. Check out the story and party photos here: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,394241,00.html or here http://www.540wfla.com/cc-common/mainheadlines3.html?feed=227698&article=4024784
I’m sure Casey’s attorneys will try and spin this as either a)these photos are not from when Caylee was missing. b.)if they are from the time that she was missing she was working at the time and trying to raise money to help find Caylee. c) she was conducting her own undercover investigation. d) she saw in a movie once that you have to act completely normal or the people with your kid would know you are up to something and end up hurting someone.
The judge today denied both a decrease in bail and a request by defense to not release the jail phone interviews. Clearly this attorney has little client control and Casey can’t keep her mouth shut
I hope that Caylee is found and there is justice for her.
Caylee Marie Anthony – missing Florida child
I can’t seem to stay away from this child’s story. Where is Caylee Marie Anthony and what really happened to her?
Here are some updated newslinks…although regrettably most of the news now is focused on just how screwed up the Anthony family is and their strange dynamics:
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,391741,00.html http://www.myfoxorlando.com/myfox/pages/News/Detail?contentId=7056290&version=8&locale=EN-US&layoutCode=TSTY&pageId=3.1.1 http://www.abcnews.go.com/US/story?id=5451162&page=1 http://www.local6.com/news/17000968/detail.html
Perhaps one of the most interesting items I’ve heard is this 13 minute call from jail made by Casey Anthony. It is horrifying that the first focus of the phone call is the grandmothers (Cindy Anthony)”cameos” on television which although brought up by Casey is then answered with Cindy saying “which one…I’ve done 4.” Caylee’s disappearance and at this point probable death seems to be meeting these women’s sick need for attention. Casey’s brother Lee seems disgusted by the whole thing and he appears to be frustrated by his sister’s lack of cooperation. The saddest part of the whole tape is when Casey’s friend gets on the phone with her. She is focused on Caylee and wants to know what happened. She tells Casey..”if anything happened to her I’ll die” and she is upset and crying. It is terribly sad that the only person showing any emotion at all about Caylee is her mother’s friend…someone who isn’t even related to little Caylee. http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/crime/orl-casey-anthony-jail-full-mp3,0,4188975.mp3file
Cindy Anthony (grandmother) has made several statements in the news about Caylee sightings. Here is a link to a story in Georgia where law enforcement has said that the tips (if she really got them) are bogus. I know that missing kid cases bring out all kinds of people and anyone that would call a family tip line rather than 911 is probably not a credible witness.

Where is Caylee Anthony? **missing child**
http://www.comcast.net/articles/news-national/20080722/Florida.Missing.Girl/ I had not seen this article and wanted to write an update because it bothers me so much. Caylee’s mother had a bail hearing today and bail was set at $500,000. The judge set bail that high after hearing evidence related to police finding evidence of decomposition in her car….not a good sign. The prosecutor made the statement that it’s beginning to look like a homicide. The car had been towed because it was left for several days at a check cashing place.
The more information that comes out about Casey and her family the more suspicious it becomes. This child was missing almost 5 weeks before she was reported missing. Casey said she was “conducting her own investigation”. Casey’s parents and her brother testified at her bail hearing that they believed that if released Casey would assist with the investigation. Really???? Suddenly the woman who has lied to and mislead investigators is suddenly going to cooperate? Casey Anthony knows what happened to Caylee and she isn’t saying. Her mother is either in denial or in collusion with her daughter. Casey says she’s afraid to talk to police…of what…slipping up and admitting she murdered her daughter?? Cindy Anthony (the grandmother) who originally corroberated Casey’s story of last seeing Caylee June 9th today changed her testimony to say that it was actually the 15th when she last saw Caylee. Again…really???? your 2 year old granddaughter is missing and you mess up the last date that you saw her? I can not imagine the frustration of law enforcement trying to find Caylee. I have read that what is most difficult for them is Casey’s lack of emotion about her missing child. All of these things do not bode well for little Caylee.
Caylee is 2 years old, she will turn 3 on August 9th. She is 3 feet 1 inch tall and 35 pounds. She has hazel eyes and brown shoulder length hair. If you have information about Caylee contact info is as follows
